“Winnie”, a very cute antique nursing chair dating from the early 20th century.  It has been completely reupholstered by our resident upholsterer, Jules, and re-covered in a patterned velvet accentuating the chair’s elegantly curved back, with antique-style turned beech legs.  Perfect for a fireside chair or a nursery.

ABOUT

“Winnie”, a very cute antique nursing chair dating back to the early 20th century.  It has been completely reupholstered by our resident upholsterer, Jules, and re-covered in a patterned velvet accentuating the chair’s elegantly curved back, with antique-style turned beech legs.  Perfect for a fireside chair or a nursery.

Printed velvet (viscose | acrylic | polyester mix): Linwood – The Wave – Mineral

 

MATERIALS

Beech frame | Springs | Coir fibre | Hessian | Calico | Wool felt | Velvet fabric | Beech legs stained/varnished “antique brown”.

 

CONDITION

Newly refurbished by a professional upholsterer in 2023.  The frame is original to the 1930’s but all springs, padding and fabric has been replaced.
