Hamilton & Hodson has been providing upholstery and furniture restoration services from our workshop in Bristol since 1994. Over the years, we have restored countless pieces of furniture, ranging from much-loved family pieces to treasured heirlooms and design classics.

Upholstery Courses

We offer short courses that will give new and experienced students the space and opportunity to develop a passion for upholstery. In small class sizes (max. 3 students), you will develop the skills to upholster accurately and creatively and come away with an amazing sense of achievement – as well as your very own piece of furniture that you restored yourself!

As there are only 3 in the group, there is a lot of guidance and one to one tuition. Both Nicky and Erica have years of experience. They offer sound advice about how to complete a project in a doable way for someone who hasn’t had a lot of experience in upholstery. It’s a hard working and friendly environment.

I bought a striking mid-century Scandinavian arm chair from Hamilton & Hodson. They proved very helpful and easy to deal with. They took great care in making sure that the chair arrived promptly, within budget, and protected during transit. I hope to do business with them again in the future. A rewarding experience.
